Sixth Form launches schools competitions

Blackpool Sixth Form has launched a series of competitions within secondary schools across the Fylde Coast. The competitions range from mini-saga writing to a battle of the bands and all invite students to use different skills and knowledge.

Each department will be running their own competition during May with the winners being presented with ther prizes at our Celebration Evening on June 28th.

Jonathan Eaves will present an award

The Mini-Saga Writing Competition will be judged by author and former student Jonathan Eaves (pictured above). Jonathan graduated from Sixth Form in 1987 and has recently returned to the Sixth Form to talk to students about his comic fantasy novel Rude Awakenings. This was the first time he had returned to the Sixth Form in 25 years.
