Pink Friday comes to Blackpool Sixth

Its been Pink All Over at Blackpool Sixth as students and staff raise awareness for Breast Cancer Care.

Pink Friday at Blackpool Sixth

Pink Friday has seen the Student Council arrange many different fundraising ideas to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month including wearing pink, fancy dress, pink themed food and a pink quiz. The majority of students in college had a Breast Cancer Care logo painted on them and representatives from Cancer Research UK were available to provide more information.

Every penny raised will help to make sure that the Breast Cancer Care free helpline, information-packed website and special face-to-face support services are free to use for anyone who needs them.

The charity provides a very important resource for people who have been affected by breast cancer which includes many of our staff and students.

Visual Arts and Media staff and students also dressed up today to raise money for local charity Brian House Childrens' Hospice.
