Seventeen German exchange students and students from The Blackpool Sixth Form College have spent the past week working in 9 local schools teaching German.

The students from Germany, who attend the Elsa-Brändström-Gymnasium in Oberhausen in North Rhine Westphalia, were partnered with the College’s German students who took them to their previous high schools for a work experience programme that is now in its fifth year.
Students from the Blackpool Sixth Form College are due to visit the German school between February 28 and March 7, where they will be working in Germany Primary Schools teaching English.
Last week they visited and taught German in Montgomery High School, Collegiate High School, St Aidan’s C of E Technology College, Hodgson High School, Palatine Community Sports College, Lytham St Annes High School, Baines School, Garstang High School and Boundary Primary School. They also took part in some lessons in College.
